Under-pressure Oldham boss Paul Dickov admits he can understand the fans' frustration but has asked them for patience.
The Latics have won just once this season and are winless in their last four. The defeat against Coventry at the weekend - the Sky Blues' first victory of the campaign - led to some supporters calling for Dickov's dismissal.
But the former Manchester City forward is adamant the club will turn their fortunes around.
"I can completely understand their frustration, but I want to move the club forward, not just short term but long term," he told the club's official website.
"I believe we have the squad to do that. Once we starting getting results and gelling together properly as a team, and everybody does their jobs, I am sure we will be all right.
"There can be a lot of negativity when you are not winning games, and rightly so, but there will be no negativity from me."
