Byrne suspension overturned

Oldham's Connor Brown has been dealt a three-match ban by the Football Association and Cliff Byrne's ban has been overturned.

Byrne was dismissed during Oldham's 1-0 win at Portsmouth on Saturday but video replays showed it was actually Brown involved in a fracas with Jordan Obita, who was also dismissed. The FA has rescinded Byrne's red card and he will be available to play in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Chesterfield. Brown's suspension starts immediately and, as well as the Chesterfield game, will be unavailable for the Latics' fixtures with Notts County and Scunthorpe.
