Hit-man impresses Clarets boss in pre-season

Eddie Howe believes Burnley fans will see the best of Danny Ings this season if the striker can put his injury worries behind him. The 20-year-old suffered a horror injury in only his second training session with the club and had to wait five months before making his debut. But once back to full fitness the former Bournemouth forward finished last season strongly with three goals in his final eight appearances. And Ings is warming up nicely for the start of the season with two goals in as many pre-season matches to the delight of Howe. Howe said: "Danny has been excellent in the two games and fingers crossed it is going to be a big season for him. "We think he is a real talent and I am just looking forward to hopefully seeing him stay injury free and having a good season." Howe has been busy in the transfer market with the addition of promising trio Luke O'Neill, George Porter and Joseph Mills joining Jason Shackell at Turf Moor. And the Burnley boss is not finished yet and is confident he will be unveiling yet more new faces before the transfer window slams shut. "Hopefully we can still add a few more players because I don't feel we are the finished article yet," he added. "We still have work to do, but we feel we are definitely moving in the right direction."
