Oldham midfielder Chris Taylor will have a scan and further x-rays on Friday after initial tests revealed he has ankle ligament damage.
Taylor was stretchered off during Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat at Brentford following a challenge with Clinton Morrison. The 25-year-old was relieved to learn there is is no fracture to the joint, but Latics' head of sports medicine Jon Guy confirmed on the club's official website that "significant ligament damage" was sustained.
