George Elokobi is confident Wolves and Nottingham Forest can stay up this season after swapping one relegation fight for another.
Wolves left-back Elokobi has joined Forest on loan until the end of the season after finding his first-team chances at Molineux limited this season.
Forest and Wolves find themselves at the wrong end of the table in the Championship and Premier League, but Elokobi believes both sides have the quality to survive.
"I really do hope they [Wolves] stay up," Elokobi told
skysports.com. "I believe they deserve to stay up in the Premier League.
"They have got quality players, got a great changing room with a great bunch of lads and I hope they carry on working hard and pick up points.
"I am with Nottingham Forest now and obviously my main goal is to try and help them climb up the table and I am confident with the quality I have seen in the changing room and in training I think they can do it and get out of trouble."
Frustrating
Elokobi is relishing the chance of playing some first-team football at Forest after growing frustrated at not playing regularly at Wolves this season.
"I am very excited about coming here and showing everyone what I am capable of doing," added Elokobi.
"It is all about getting some game time under my belt which has been limited at Wolves this season.
"It has been very frustrating, but at the end of the day it's part and parcel of football.
"Considering the fact I played extremely well last season, to find myself on the bench this season I don't understand why, but it goes like that sometimes in football.
"You have just got to keep your head down, keep working hard and keep believing in your ability and hopefully under Steve Cotterill I will get some game time and obviously get myself back to where I want to be.
"I expressed to Mick McCarthy I would love the opportunity if the opportunity arises to go out and get some games under my belt as at my age I need to be playing games, and he said when the time is right he would let me go out and thankfully he allowed me and I appreciate that."
Elokobi will link up with Wolves team-mate Adlene Guedioura at the City Ground and he is hoping the pair can help Forest climb up the table with the Reds currently six points adrift of safety in the Championship.
"I am looking forward to linking up with Ade as he is a close mate of mine at Wolverhampton Wanderers and it will be good to link up with him again and hopefully we can both work hard in training and hopefully play a part and contribute to help Nottingham Forest climb the table," continued Elokobi.
