Montano extends Daggers stay

Dagenham & Redbridge have extended the loan of West Ham's Cristian Montano after the forward scored three goals in seven games.

Montano has made a big impact since joining the League Two outfit in November. The 20-year-old will miss the Daggers' FA Cup third-round replay against Millwall on Tuesday night, despite West Ham's elimination from the competition, as he was ineligible for the original tie. However, the Colombian will now remain at Victoria Road for an indefinite period. "With a youth loan you can just keep it going, there's no particular time span," said Dagenham boss John Still following his side's 1-0 home defeat to Hereford on Saturday. "There's always a clause to be called back after a month, but at the moment we're okay. He's been terrific for us."
