Oldham Athletic is in the grip of FA Cup fever according to Latics midfielder Chris Taylor.
The 24-year-old scored the only goal as Latics beat Southend on Tuesday night to secure a money-spinning FA Cup third-round clash with Premier League giants Liverpool.
Taylor told the Daily Star: "When I went to the local shops and supermarket before the Southend replay, everyone was talking about not being able to wait for the Liverpool game.
"I told them to hang on as we hadn't beaten Southend yet! After the game I had lots of messages and texts and I know how much it means to them (the fans). It will be great to see Latics fans at Anfield, something which may not happen again.
"These are exciting times and there is definitely a buzz in the town and also a buzz among the players.
"Financially, the club should earn a lot of money and hopefully that should be a massive benefit."
