Dickov down after defeat

Oldham manager Paul Dickov has to endure a miserable afternoon as he watched his side being thumped 4-1 by rivals Colchester.

Anthony Wordsworth opened the scoring after 17 seconds and grabbed the second with a penalty after Reuben Reid had levelled from the spot. Ian Henderson and Matt Heath then wrapped up a comfortable win for the Us after the break. To make matters worse, Dickov was sent to the stands for the second half. He said: "I don't know if back-to-back wins have all of a sudden made us feel we're a fantastic team. "I got that impression but I keep repeating myself - win, lose or draw, we're at our best when we get the basics right. "It wasn't the performance or the result that we wanted, by any means."
