Full-back hopes Saints will agree to loan extension

Southampton full-back Joseph Mills is hoping he can extend his loan spell at Doncaster Rovers. The 21-year-old has been with Doncaster since October, but an ankle injury has restricted Mills to just eight appearances. The England youth international returned from injury against Scunthorpe United on New Year's Day and he is keen to stay at the Keepmoat Stadium. He told the Sheffield Star: "I've been playing games here and I've been enjoying my football so it would be great to stay on. "But obviously it is not up to me. It is up to the manager here and the manager at Southampton. "I'm just looking to keep playing well and keep working hard and see what comes about." Meanwhile, Doncaster's away match with Derby, originally scheduled for Boxing Day but postponed because of a power failure at Pride Park, has been rearranged for Tuesday 1st March.
