Oldham manager Paul Dickov has praised teenager Kirk Millar after he scored on his international debut.
The 18-year-old scored a last-minute goal as a substitute in Northern Ireland under-21s' 4-0 win against San Marino in a Euro 2012 qualifier in Coleraine.
Millar, who was only called up at short notice, will feature in a second qualifier on Tuesday against Germany in Bavaria.
Dickov said: "I am delighted for Kirk. He has a great attitude and is a credit to the club.
"It will be a great experience for him to play against Germany and it is also great for the football club that he has been called up to the under-21s."
