Proudlock seals Blundell Park deal

Grimsby Town have completed the permanent signing of Darlington striker Adam Proudlock. The 27-year-old has impressed at Blundell Park since joining the club on an initial loan deal in November, with three goals in eight games convincing Mariners boss Mike Newell he was worth a long-term deal. Well travelled Proudlock started his career at Wolves, before spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich, Stockport and most recently Darlington. Proudlock struggled for regular playing time in Darlo boss Dave Penney's starting XI, but will hope to rejuvenate his career at Grimsby having signed a deal until 2011. Grimsby are also in discussions with Jean Paul Kalala about turning his loan from Oldham into a permanent deal.
