YOUNG Rangers defender Paul Reid could join Oldham Athletic on loan after finding it hard to make the breakthrough at Ibrox.

Reid joined Gers from Carlisle United two seasons ago in a £500,000 deal and, despite a lack of first team action, insists he has no regrets.

"I do not regret going there for a moment because it has improved me as a player," said Reid.

"You are training beside top players every day of the week and it rubs off."

Latics boss Iain Dowie watched Reid in Gers' recent reserve team match at Airdrie and wants to take the England Under-20 international on loan.
