Latics boss Andy Ritchie recently had a six-figure bid for the prolific marksman turned down, with The Red Dragons insisting that he is not for sale.
However, Ritchie is hoping that the cash-strapped club's position has shifted following former manager Brian Flynn's resignation.
"I have made an improved offer but the turmoil at Wrexham hasn't helped. We are still waiting for them to come back to us," he confirmed.
Meanwhile, Faulconbridge had this to say: "I wouldn't be turning my back on this place, as I'm not that sort of person. I've run away from situations in the past when I've thought the grass was greener on the other side and I've come to regret it.
"Obviously we are not having a happy time at the moment and the uncertainty over the new manager has not helped our position on the field. But I'm still willing to give Wrexham a chance, as I see a bright future ahead for us."
