DRAGONS SNUB FAULCONBRIDGE BID

WREXHAM have rejected a £200,000 bid from Oldham Athletic for striker Craig Faulconbridge.

Wycombe Wanderers are also understood to have expressed an interest in the 24-year-old, although Wrexham are currently holding out for improved bids.

"I have not been involved in dealing with bids, but I did recommend to the board the player should not be sold unless the offer was substantially increased," said Red Dragons manager Brian Flynn.

Vice-chairman David Rhodes added: "We did have an offer from Oldham and that was rejected by the board. Oldham then came back with an improved offer and that too, was turned down."

Meanwhile, Wycombe Wanderers boss Lawrie Sanchez confirmed that he is also an admirer of the forward, saying: "We have got an interest in him. He always scores against us and our centre halves don't like playing against him."
