Southend have completed a double loan switch by signing striker Elliot Lee and defender Jakub Sokolik.

West Ham teenager Lee, whose father Rob Lee played for numerous Premier League sides, has joined on a three-month deal while Yeovil's Sokolik, 21, returns to Roots Hall for one month having spent the latter part of last season with the Shrimpers. "I really enjoyed my time at Southend last season and when I had the chance to come back, it was something I was interested in," Sokolik told the club's official website. "Hopefully, during this month, I can play plenty of games and have an effect on the team as we look to push up the table." Lee has made one senior appearance for the Hammers already and has spent time on loan with Colchester during his career. Southend have also confirmed that youngsters Ellis Brown, Kane Farrell, Jason Williams and Dan Matsazuka have moved to non-league clubs on loan.
