Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade has signed youngster Alex Smith on loan from Fulham until January.
The 21-year-old made his debut for the Cottagers in their 3-0 win against West Brom earlier in the season and could go straight into Orient's squad for their trip to Preston on Saturday. Smith's move to Brisbane Road is the first time the midfielder, who can also fill-in in defence, has gone out on loan since signing professional terms at the Premier League club in 2011.
