Glovers boss chuffed with Paddy

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson would love to hold on to Paddy Madden after the on-loan striker's brace set up a 3-1 win at Shrewsbury.

Madden has now scored five goals in four games for Yeovil and Shrewsbury never came to terms with the Carlisle man who has proved a massive hit since making his temporary switch to Somerset. The Irishman was on target with two close range headers while strike partner James Hayter also weighed in with a simple close range finish before a late penalty from Shrewsbury skipper Matt Richards. "We'll have to tie him down or hide him somewhere," smiled Johnson who hopes to extend Madden's stay. "We've just got to keep quiet about it and hope no-one's noticed. "We were a bit more assured in our play and that is what I was really pleased with," he added. "I was very proud of the boys and I was proud of our performance, not just individuals but our team performance. "That's how a manager wants to see his team play, very passionate out of possession and in possession."
