Glovers boss threatens axe

Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson is threatening a clear-out after seeing his side slip to a fifth straight defeat.

After Gavin Williams' first-half penalty put the Glovers ahead, goals from Jeffrey Monakana, Chris Beardsley and a Dan Burn own-goal effectively sealed the points for Preston after the break. Football League debutant Burn scored at the right end to complete a topsy-turvy afternoon and reduce the arrears but Johnson was not happy. "We weren't bold enough, we were too timid. That was the key to how the game went," said Johnson. "We've got a few players who look down in the dumps at the moment and unable to snap out of a bad run. "People have to come through it or we'll look at other personnel."
