Bristol Rovers have bolstered their attacking ranks with the loan signing of Bolton striker Tom Eaves.

The 20-year-old, who moved to Bolton after spending time with the Oldham and Crewe academies, will spend the next three months with Mark McGhee's League Two side. Matt Harrold is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing an operation on his knee injury and McGhee hopes his new recruit can fill the void. "Tom was a young lad at Oldham who did brilliantly and was snapped up by Bolton," McGhee told the club's official website. "He had a bad injury last pre-season, but he has come back and he needs to play games. "He is a big lad, about Matt Harrold's size, he runs the channels, does a bit of everything, and can play as well."
