Yeovil boss Gary Johnson insisted he had to exercise caution towards the end of the January transfer window due to their limited budget.
Johnson, who only rejoined the Glovers as manager at the start of the month, brought in several players on loan - such as Sam Walker and Joe Edwards - shortly after his arrival but avoided making any moves on the final days of the window.
He told the club's official website: "We've been looking for players to improve our squad that might available, but I don't want to bring anyone in for the sake of it otherwise we'll be top heavy with players later on.
"We're working very hard, we know what want and if it's there, we will work even harder to get it.
"We only have a small squad obviously with our budget so they have all got to be first team players and be quality, too.
"At the moment, we're happy with our squad as we made a move to bring in some quality loan signings early on, so we didn't leave it until the last minute."
