Yeovil will appeal the red card shown to defender Paul Huntington during the 2-1 victory over Preston on Saturday.
Huntington was sent off late on in the League One clash for a heavy challenge on Preston's Jamie Proctor.
Glovers boss Gary Johnson felt his captain won the ball in the tackle, and confirmed his intent to have referee Oliver Langford's decision overturned.
"I was really disappointed with the red card because I thought he had come back and made the tackle," Johnson told the Western Morning News.
"It is definitely one we will appeal. I have asked the referee to have a look at it - he said he would but he thought it was an aggressive tackle. That is the idea of a tackle, you have got to win the ball. You cannot say: "Excuse me mate, can I take the ball off you?
"We were disappointed with that, but we will appeal it and hopefully people will see it was not a reckless challenge and was a very good challenge."
