Hornets boss denies loan swoop for Foxes keeper is imminent

Watford boss Sean Dyche has played down reports linking the Hornets with a loan move for Leicester goalkeeper Chris Weale. Rumours on a number of forums and social networking sites suggested the 29-year-old was on course to make a temporary switch to Vicarage Road. Dyche admitted he was keen to bring in new faces with Watford currently struggling in the relegation zone, but insisted the former Yeovil keeper was far from on the verge of joining his struggling squad. The Hornets boss, with tongue firmly in his cheek, said: "I always think the internet is a much better gauge than me so I would definitely use the internet as a source of information if I was you, and everyone else, out there because it is always 100 per cent correct. "He is on a list of about 50 players in all different positions."

Under wraps

Dyche admitted he is looking to improve all parts of his side with Watford struggling for form this season, but did not want to identify specific targets. He told the Watford Observer: "We will keep that under wraps until we get the deals done. It is hard speaking about other people's players if they are not guaranteed to come here. "I don't think anyone is safe when we are not performing. I think every position gets looked at and scrutinised. So every area can be affected."
