Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton is hoping to complete a move for Chester striker Martin Gritton this week.
Gritton, 32, who has played for south west rivals Torquay and Plymouth, is expected to hold formal talks with Skiverton on Monday. Skiverton told BBC Somerset "I'm speaking to Martin on Monday and we'll see what unfolds." Sam Williams faces a lengthy lay-off with a shoulder injury he suffered in the Glovers' 3-2 win at Exeter on Saturday, increasing the need for a new forward.
