O'Driscoll makes start on squad for next term

Doncaster Rovers have announced that six out-of-contract players are to leave the club this summer, while 10 have been offered new deals. The six to have been shown the door are strikers Paul Heffernan and Lewis Guy, defenders Sean McDaid and Charles Fisher, midfielder John Spicer and goalkeeper Ben Smith. But the Championship outfit say "negotiations are now ongoing" with 10 players who have been offered new deals as boss Sean O'Driscoll prepares for the upcoming season. Those offered deals to stay include keepers Neil Sullivan and Gary Woods and defenders Mustapha Dumbuya, Adam Lockwood and Gareth Roberts. In midfield, Mark Wilson, John Oster and Robbie Clark have also been offered deals, as have strikers James Hayter and Waide Fairhurst. Rovers publically thanked the six players who are leaving for their contributions to the club over the years. A statement on the club's official website said: "Everybody associated with Doncaster Rovers would like to deeply thank each and every player for the part they have played in the Rovers' progress over their years at the football club and wishes every player the best of luck in the next stage of their footballing careers."
