Skysports.com understands Lincoln have handed a trial to former Yeovil ace Anthony Tonkin.
Tonkin is looking for pastures new following his release by Yeovil at the end of last season.
The former Stockport County man has been invited for a trial by Red Imps boss John Schofield as he looks to bolster his squad.
Lincoln have moved to offer Tonkin a trial as they look to beat off interest from some of their League Two rivals.
Tonkin is expected to spend a few days training with Lincoln in the hope of winning a move to Sincil Bank.
