Marcus Stewart insists he is not looking to leave Yeovil Town for Hartlepool United.

Reports have claimed that Hartlepool are hoping to entice the former Sunderland striker back to the North East.

But Stewart, who joined Yeovil permanently in January, admits he is happy to stay put, having been unaware of supposed interest from Hartlepool.

"That's the first I have heard of it," Stewart told the Western Daily Mail.

"It is flattering that people still think you can do a job, but I expect to stay at Yeovil.

"I am happy and I have got another year left on my deal.

"I will probably sit down with the chairman and the manager at Christmas time, and see what I want to do if I steer clear of injuries. I might want to play on or finish at the end of the season."

Meanwhile, Yeovil have confirmed that Gary Dempsey has completed the formalities of his free transfer move from Aberdeen on a two-year contract.
