Yeovil Town defender Scott Guyett has revealed he always intended to stay with the club after penning a one-year extension.
The 30-year-old had been heading out of contract with his previous two-year deal set to expire, but he has now decided to stay for an additional 12 months.
Guyett's love for the club heavily influenced his decision and now he is looking forward to working under new manager Russell Slade (pictured).
"It was always my intention to stay at Yeovil," Guyett told the club's official website.
"Since coming to Yeovil I have enjoyed myself immensely, although my first season was rather hampered by injury.
"I am looking forward to the new season and working with the new manager Russell Slade."
