Torquay United striker Jo-Osei Kuffour has signed a new one-year deal to remain at the club.
The 24-year-old former Arsenal trainee bagged nine goals in League Two last season, scoring in four out of the last five matches, as The Gulls battled their way out of relegation trouble.
He had been linked with a move to the West Country with Yeovil Town or Bristol Rovers, but in the end Plainmoor manager Ian Atkins got his man to stay.
"I see Jo as a very important part of the team next season and I am very pleased that he is staying," Atkins told the club's website.
"I think he will play a major role in our success and I can go on holiday with a smile on my face."
The young Englishman provides United with the extra dimension of pace up front, and the South Devon club will be hoping he can continue his rich vein of form into the coming League Two season.
