Yeovil Town have opened talks with Huddersfield defender Efe Sodje.
The 33-year-old has been told he will not be getting a new contract at The Galpharm Stadium and is now training with The Glovers.
Yeovil are hoping to seal the signing of both Sodje and on-loan star Kevin Amankwaah before Thursday's transfer deadline.
"I thought it was only fair to give him the opportunity to get fixed up before the transfer window closes because he was not going to offered a new contract," said Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson.
"Yeovil showed an immediate interest and I have let him go down for a trial."
