Blackpool ran out of goalkeeper shirts last week which meant their No 1 Joe Lewis was forced to wear an autographed one during a Championship fixture at Bloomfield Road.
Midfielder Andrea Orlandi revealed that Lewis wore a signed shirt that was originally put aside for a sponsor, during the opening 45 minutes of their game at home to Reading on Tuesday.
The Seasiders, already relegated to League One, finally managed to locate a normal unsigned shirt for Lewis to wear during the second half of the game which ended 1-1.
The autographed shirt was due to be presented to a club sponsor and Orlandi said: "When Joe tried to get another one, he was told there were none left.
"It was funny because he tried to put a plaster over the writing to cover it, and it looked even more funny.
"However, things like that make a difference in a club. There are details that should be improved as a club. A small thing? Probably, but still not normal for a Championship club."
