Former Brighton midfielder Andrea Orlandi has become the latest new signing for new-look Blackpool.

The 30-year-old has signed a one-year deal with the Seasiders with the option of a further year.

The Spaniard has played in the United Kingdom for the last seven seasons, originally with Swansea and then Brighton, who released him at the end of last season.

Orlandi could make his Blackpool debut in Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash at Nottingham Forest after impressing on trial during pre-season.

"I'm delighted to be a Blackpool player and looking forward to the new season ahead," Orlandi told the club's official website.

"We have a good squad and I rely a lot on the manager. We have good players so hopefully we’ll play good football.

"I came here last week, spoke to the manager and knew straight away that I wanted to sign."
