Kirk Broadfoot is hoping to take a central role for Blackpool after making his home debut against Brighton last week.
The former Rangers man played in Blackpool's 1-1 Championship draw and is now hoping to hold down a regular first-team place after overcoming a series of injuries that have hampered his Seasiders career so far.
"I've trained for a couple of weeks without any niggles, so touch wood the injuries stay away and I can get a run of games and help the team push up the table," he told the club's website.
"I was delighted to be playing. I thought the performance was very good from the boys and we deserved more than a draw.
"We were a bit unfortunate for their goal but these things happen, you learn from it and you move on from it and make sure it doesn't happen again.
"The fans were great and got right behind the team. I've watched a couple as well and they do get right behind the team, which always helps the players and I thought they were brilliant."
