Sky Sports understands Ryan Hall's move to Blackpool has collapsed.
Hall has been training with the Tangerines over the past week ahead of completing a loan deal, which would have become permanent in January.
However, the club have been unable to agree personal terms with the highly-rated winger - who has now returned to Southend United.
Hall has not played for Southend for over a month due to the talks over his future - but he still looks like securing a move away from Roots Hall.
The 24-year-old is now emerging as a target for rival Championship clubs and Sky Sports understands Peterborough United are now leading the chase.
It remains to be seen if Blackpool will make a renewed for his services.
