Seasiders hoping to tie up three-month deal for striker

Sky Sports understands Blackpool are closing in on a deal to bring Queens Park Rangers striker DJ Campbell back to Bloomfield Road. Campbell's future has been the subject of speculation for some time with the player deemed surplus to requirements at Loftus Road. The 30-year-old was left out of QPR's 25-man Premier League squad and a number of clubs tried to sign him before the close of the transfer window last month. Seasiders boss Ian Holloway is a huge admirer of Campbell with the striker enjoying three different spells at the club in recent seasons before his switch to Loftus Road last summer. Talks have been ongoing between both clubs for several weeks with Blackpool keen to sign Campbell on a three-month loan deal to cover the busy festive period. Campbell is keen to go out on loan in search of regular first-team football after a frustrating last 12 months at QPR.
