Pitman pleased with Barkhuizen

Hereford manager Jamie Pitman saluted Tom Barkhuizen after his seventh goal of the season claimed a valuable point at Plymouth Argyle.

The Blackpool loanee converted from close range after a superb pass from Harry Pell to send the Bulls into the lead at Home Park on Saturday, a strike which could have proved the match-winner if not for an 81st-minute penalty for the hosts. Barkhuizen has admitted he would welcome an extension to his stay at Hereford, which currently runs until January, and Pitman reserved plenty of praise for the winger after his latest contribution to the club's battle to avoid relegation. Pitman said: "It was a great goal. Harry Pell's doing well, getting forward. He's always a good threat with that and did ever so well to pick Tom out. "And Tom's been pretty clinical whenever he has had a chance, he has done very well and at least hit the target. "He's scored seven for us now which is a great reward for his hard work."
