Freedman eager to tie up pair

Crystal Palace are waiting to hear if their bids for Anthony Gardner and Robert Earnshaw have been successful. Gardner was a big success during a loan spell last season and he is about to become a free agent when his contract at Hull City expires. Likewise Earnshaw is out of contract at Nottingham Forest, and Palace have made offers to both players. Freedman said of Gardner: "We've decided to make Anthony one final offer because his performances under me were outstanding. "He is a good character and I want to try and get him in the door. We are on a budget but hopefully we get some good news in the next 48 hours. On Earnshaw he added: "I really like Rob but he has been away on holiday for the last couple of weeks. "I'm looking forward to seeing where he wants to play his football."
