Bishop delighted with County win

Notts County goalscorer Neal Bishop admitted he wished he could play on TV every week after the 1-0 win over Charlton.

Bishop, the man who earned County's money-spinning FA Cup trip to Premier League giants Manchester City, scored on live TV again on Friday night as the Magpies dominated against a side expecting to be challenging for promotion in League One this season. After the Meadow Lane clash, he said: "I've scored two goals and they've both been on the telly - so maybe we should be on the telly more often." The goal came four minutes into the second half, when Alan Gow's low free-kick was deflected in off Bishop's backside, to earn County back-to-back league wins for the first time since January. Bishop said: "I'm delighted with the way we dug in and got the three points. "You could feel the tension in the crowd, but that's part of football. They backed us all the way."
