Ian Holloway could be forced into selling some of his Blackpool players if they fail to agree new deals.
The Pool boss is preparing to sit down with chairman Karl Oyston in a bid to tie down his key stars who are out of contract at the end of the season.
Holloway admits he is reluctant to let them walk away for nothing and will discuss new deals before the January transfer window.
However, if they are not keen to sign, the Bloomfield Road boss has warned they could be on their way out rather than being allowed to leave on a free in the summer.
Midfielder David Vaughan, goalkeeper Matthew Gilks and Stephen Crainey are all out of contract at the end of the season.
Dilemma
Holloway admitted: "We need to make sure these lads who we've said are going to be offered something are actually physically offered it.
"Then we'll find out whether they want to re-sign or not. And if they don't want to re-sign then I might have a bit of a dilemma.
"I don't like to run a business and let someone walk out for nothing.
"I would have to talk to the chairman to see if he thinks they are irreplaceable and we try and keep our status with them still playing or we try and move on."
