Blackpool have re-opened talks with Bolton regarding the potential signing of defender Chris Basham.
Initial contact was made by the Seasiders last week, as Ian Holloway stepped up his efforts to get fresh faces on board.
Trotters boss Owen Coyle confirmed on Monday that discussions had been held and that he could be tempted to sell at the right price.
He claimed that the fee being touted at that stage would not have been enough to force Bolton's hand, but left the door open for Blackpool to up their bid.
Holloway is now back for a second bite of the cherry and appears to be closing in on his man.
Productive
Blackpool have enjoyed a productive time in the transfer market of late, with five new arrivals signed up on Wednesday.
They are now keen to add Basham to their ranks before they make their Premier League bow at Wigan on Saturday.
The 22-year-old is keen to find regular first-team football and knows he must leave the Reebok Stadium in order to get games.
Coyle has reluctantly accepted that there is little he can do to stand in the youngster's way and appreciates that he wants to further his career.
Discussions are now set to continue throughout Thursday, with the intention of reaching a conclusion one way or another as quickly as possible.

"The likelihood today is that Chris Basham will sign for Blackpool with us getting a fee in return for that," Coyle said.
"He is a player we like and we value here but I had to be fair to him, because his chances have been limited here.
"Morally, I felt I had to give him the opportunity if he wanted to play week in, week out.
"Ollie (Holloway) and I had a chat the other day and it looks like it has moved on now and that will probably happen today."
