Blackpool have offered League One rivals Oldham Athletic a player-exchange deal in order to secure the services of striker Scott Vernon.
Seasiders boss Colin Hendry is keen to land the 21-year-old (pictured) on a permanent basis after the hit-man impressed the Bloomfield Road club during a loan spell back in September.
Hendry has offered midfielder Richie Wellens as part of a possible exchange deal with The Latics, with the Boundary Park club yet to make a decision on Blackpool's offer.
"They keep on coming back again and again for Scott [Vernon]," claimed an Oldham spokesman.
"Blackpool have offered Richie Wellens for him, but at the moment, nothing has been accepted."
