Scottish giants Rangers have given Blackpool permission to speak to goalkeeper Allan McGregor over a possible loan move to Bloomfield Road.
Ibrox manager Alex McLeish is keen to get McGregor some first team action and former Gers centre back and current Seasiders manager Colin Hendry is keen to bring the custodian to the English League One outfit on a season-long loan deal.
The Edinburgh-born McGregor has been in the shadow of number one Stefan Klos for the past two seasons and is also looking to earn more first team action, with Blackpool set to hand him the opportunity.
McLeish believes it would be in McGregor's interests to take a loan move for the coming campaign.
"I think it would be better all round if Allan could go on loan and gain first team experience," McLeish told Rangers' official website.
Should McGregor move on for the season from Rangers, the Old Firm giants will likely turn to Graeme Smith to act as cover to Klos.
