Notts County have extended Louis Laing's loan spell from neighbours Nottingham Forest.

Laing, 21, crossed the River Trent to join the League One club in September on an initial month-long deal but the defender will now remain at Meadow Lane until December 13. In the absence of injured club captain Hayden Mullins, Laing has slotted into the Magpies' defence alongside Haydn Hollis. Shaun Derry's men have conceded just three goals and remained unbeaten in all seven matches Laing has played for the club. Laing came through the youth system at Sunderland and made one substitute appearance for the club, before joining Forest this summer.
