Stuart Pearce will take over as Nottingham Forest manager at the end of the season, according to Sky sources.
Pearce is expected to be confirmed as the new Forest manager on Thursday but will not take over at the City Ground until the end of the current season.
The former England Under-21s coach turned the job down last week for family reasons but has now had a change of heart and is expected to sign a two-year deal with his former club.
Previous boss Billy Davies was sacked by Forest owner and chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi, who approached Pearce after former Leeds boss Neil Warnock turned down the job last month.
Gary Brazil will remain in caretaker-charge of Forest, who are currently seventh in the Sky Bet Championship, two points outside the play-off places.
