Defender signs three-year deal at the Reebok

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed the signing of defender Matt Mills from Championship rivals Leicester City for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old former Southampton trainee has signed a three-year deal at the Reebok Stadium. He becomes the Lancashire club's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Keith Andrews on a free transfer last week. Mills only joined Leicester from Reading last season but despite beginning the campaign as club captain, he fell out of favour at the King Power Stadium. The former Doncaster stopper was frozen out in the second half of the season following a reported bust-up with boss Nigel Pearson. Bolton manager Owen Coyle was delighted with latest capture, telling the club's official website: "Matt is a player who has a high level of experience in the Championship. "We are delighted to have made this acquisition as he adds strength and quality into the mix. "He is 25-years-old and has already captained teams at this level, so we know what he will bring to the squad both on and off the pitch."
