Notts County are interested in extending the loan of Kieron Freeman from Nottingham Forest.

The Wales Under 21 international made the move across the River Trent on an emergency one-month loan deal after Magpies full-back Julian Kelly was sidelined with a calf injury.

The 19-year-old has played in County's last three League One games and has impressed Martin Allen enough for the manager to want to keep him at Meadow Lane after his loan expires on 11th February.

Freeman though is ineligible for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Stevenage after playing for Forest in the previous round of the competition.

Allen told the Nottingham Evening Post: "For a 19-year-old to come into this club and play like he has done is outstanding.

"He's got so much ability and what I really like about him is he's so down-to-earth.

"He ain't got a car, he just gets on the bus everywhere. We're looking at his loan right now."
