Teenager Jamie Paterson has committed his future to Walsall by signing a new contract until the end of the 2013/14 season.

The 19-year-old attacker made his debut for the club last season and scored his first senior goal for the club in the draw against Huddersfield earlier this month. He told the club's official website: "I'm happy to get things sorted. I can now concentrate on my football and helping the club push on up the League One table. "We have an important period ahead of us and I want to play my part in making it a successful one for the club. "Now I've got my first goal out of the way, I want to push on and add to my tally. I have the chance to really establish myself and I will be working hard so that my game will continue to develop. "I'm enjoying my football and desperately want to do well for myself and the club."
