Nottingham Forest have confirmed Ishmael Miller will finalise a move from West Bromwich Albion on Monday.
Miller has accepted a three-year contract at Forest after also attracting the interest of Championship rivals Leicester City.
West Brom had accepted offers from both clubs for the striker, but he was always expected to link up with Steve McClaren at Forest.
He has come through a medical and will cost Forest an initial £1.2million when the formalities of the deal are completed after the weekend.
The 24-year-old started his career at Manchester City and joined West Brom on a permanent basis in 2008 after impressing on loan at The Hawthorns.
The former England Under 21 international has struggled with injury in recent campaigns and had a spell on loan at Queens Park Rangers last term.
