Barnet have brought in Nottingham Forest's promising midfielder Mark Byrne on loan until January.
Byrne, who has made two senior appearances for Forest, spent last season on loan at Rushden & Diamonds where he scored seven goals in 44 outings.
He also had a loan spell at Burton during the 2008/09 campaign and had been a target for several other clubs.
The Bees are happy to have secured his signature and first-team coach Michael Stone is looking forward to working with Byrne again after the two were at Rushden.
Stone told the club's official website: "I am very much looking forward to working with Mark again.
"He made great strides last season and has tenacity, a good engine and a great work rate."
