Macclesfield are planning to turn Emile Sinclair's loan move into a permanent deal, skysports.com understands.
Sinclair joined Macclesfield on loan until the end of the season from Nottingham Forest in January.
The 21-year-old, who has scored one goal for the Silkmen, has impressed during his stint at Moss Rose.
Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander is keen to keep Sinclair at the club and is hoping to agree a deal with Forest once the season is over.
Sinclair's agent Dan Fletcher confirmed talks have opened about keeping the player at Macclesfield.
"I spoke to Keith (Alexander) earlier in the week, and he's told us that he'd like to sign Emile on a permanent deal," Fletcher told skysports.com.
"It's very early in the negotiations at the moment, so we'll have to see what transpires over the next few weeks."
