Robert Earnshaw admits he is 'devastated' to have been left out of the Wales squad for next month's 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
The Nottingham Forest striker had been recalled by John Toshack for last week's friendly with Georgia after securing regular first-team football at the City Ground.
However, when Toshack named his squad for the September games against Azerbaijan and Russia, Earnshaw was left out by the Wales coach.
Earnshaw is disappointed by his omission and is determined to prove to Toshack that he should not be overlooked in the future.
"My international situation has been a strange one for the last six months or so," said Earnshaw in The Sun.
"You have to ask the question when you look at the Wales squad: 'Should Robert Earnshaw be in it?'
"I'm devastated, as I've always given everything for them and have a good record playing for Wales. I love playing for my country.
"I'm enjoying it so much at Forest, though. I'm playing well and scoring goals.
"That's all I can do and what I'll carry on doing to make it impossible to leave me out."
